This survey is to gather input from Ellum Thicket/Northpark neighbors on where they would like the new Texas State Historical Marker to be placed with the boundaries of our neighborhood. The new historical marker is commemorating the Hilliard Memorial Golf Course which, at the time, was the first municipal golf course for black residents in the South. The golf course was destroyed during the 1954-55 Love Field Expansion. The original golf course would have been located in the upper-left hand corner of the map. It would have roughly been around where the Frontiers of Flight Museum is currently located on Lemmon Avenue.
